A birthday cake

Just completed making a birthday cake for my domestic helper's sister. Her sister's birthday is tomorrow and she is going to celebrate it with my helper tomorrow. When my helper saw the cake I was decorating, she said to me that blue and pink are her sister's favourite colours. I guess I made the right choice with the colours, hehehe ...

WOW!! That's some awesome piping skills! I love the centrepiece. It's in a lovely shade of pink and so well done, it looks so real. How did you achieve it? Was it American buttercream that you used, or Swiss Meringue? Your basketweave is really good too. Oh, the whole cake is so beautiful!!

Hi NEL, thanks. The piping was done with fresh whipping cream (non-diary whipping cream). I don't usually like to work with buttercream.
