Roses

My good friend Irene came to my place to learn how to pipe roses. She was going to use this cake for a birthday of one of her cousins. We practiced with the whipped cream how to do roses and the roses were supposed to be pink and white in colour. In the end when we actually wanted to pipe the roses on the cake itself, the cream became too soft to handle. So, I had to use a new batch of cream and coloured it orange this time round. This is what Irene and I had done after a night of roses piping. Happy Birthday to you, Rina. Hope you will appreciate Irene's efforts.

Leelee, do ou add any creamer or sugar to the whipped cream? when i whip fresh cream, I can't get it so stiff, so piping roses is so out of the question. :(

No, I don't add anything to the whipping cream. I just whipped the cream as it is and add colours.

Hi Sherry, I learned my cake deco from Creative Culinaire, Judy Koh's school.

Love this... It has been awhile since I've seen pipe roses... Nowadays, pipe roses has been replaced with plastic roses that cannot be eaten... =P
