Cupcakes

I did a batch of normal size cupcakes and a mini size cupcakes for two persons last nite. I hope they will like it. The mini ones are for children at a childcare centre who are having an early Christmas celebration.

I tried once making buttercream using butter and some shortening. The taste is really not so nice, so back to my fresh cream again. I guess I am not willing to compromise the taste for the not easily melt buttercream frosting. Anyway, most cupcakes you see out there uses buttercream and certain amount of Crisco or shortening to help it keep its shape and last longer outside in room temperature.

For those who want the cupcakes recipe, it was posted under vanila cupcakes. As for the frosting, it is just non-diary whipping cream whipped up and add colour of choice to pipe out patterns.

Hullo! I was browsing through baking blog after baking blog until I finally made a pit stop at yours and I have to say, I am intrigued :D

I was just wondering, where do you get your ingredients from? Singapore is definitely a hard place to shop for baking ingredients so a lil help from you would do wonders!

email me at realityaddicted@yahoo.com.sg [don't forget the .sg, it's REALLY important ^^] Hope to hear from you soon !
