My Rose Garden

I did this cake last night for two of my colleagues' belated birthday. I wanted to do something else on the decoration but I did not have much time since I started on the creaming of the cake only at 10 pm last night after I came back from outside. So the easiest to do will be roses. After washing up it was almost 11+ already but I am happy with my cake. Sharing with you my Rose Garden for two lovely ladies.

Hi Baking Mum

This cake is so lovely. The roses come in two tones. Great Work!

You are fast baker.

Thanks Anncoo.

Florence, I am not that fast lah. It is just that I have already done the yam cream on the cake and the only thing I needed to do was to dress the cake up last night.

Thanks everyone.

Jassy, I went to Creative Culinaire for their cake decoration class two years ago. They are quite good, worth attending.

Anonymous, I don't know how to tell you how to pipe the roses verbally. I think you really need to see it to understand. As for the cream, it is just non-diary cream whipped up and add colours.

Are the roses done using your butter cream recipe? If not, can you please provide the recipe?

Thanks.

Hugbear said...

Porkie, there is no recipe for the cream. It is just non-diary whipping cream or topping cream. Just pour and whip it up and add colours to it and pipe.

Hi Hugbear,

I tried piping the rose using non-dairy cream, however, the cream was too soft and cannot hold the shape. I have whipped the cream to stiff peak, am I missing something. In addition, what tip did u use for the roses, leaves and basketweave?

Looking forward to your expert advice. :)

Jassy
