This is my first bake of the Year of Ox. Hahaha ... Making this to bring to my cousin's house on the second day of the lunar new year. I ran out of evaporated milk and self raising flour so I substitued it with diary whipping cream and cake flour with baking powder.

Hi Baking mum,
thanks for sharing this recipe. I've tried it out this morning and it's really nice ;-)
Hi Lee Lee,
Love your pictures but I cannot find the recipe to your marble cake.
Pls help ... . Thanks.
Hi Baking mum,
Your marble cake looks great! Can you please share your recipe with me? My email is polonium@singnet.com.sg.

They look wonderful...and delicious of course.
Thanks everyone. Actually this is my butter cake recipe. What I did was to replace 30g of flour with cocoa powder. After the flour is mixed into the butter mixture and mixed well, take out about 1/3 of the batter and add the cocoa powder into it. Place the white batter into tin and drop the chocolate batter into different spots and use a skewer or a chopstick to swirl it to make the marble effect. Bake as per recipe's instruction. But the cake should be bake for more than 30 mins. I will amend my recipe accordingly.
How many baking powder should I put for either plain flour or cake flour to substitute the SR flour ?
Thanks & Gong Xi Fatt Chai
Hi May, for 300g of either plain flour or cake flour, I used 1.5 tsp of baking powder.
Hi, Lee!
Need you advice.
May I check if I would like to melt some Lindt chocolate into the batter for marbling effect. Do I still need to mix it with the white batter?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, blog hopped to here! You have fantastic recipes here! Nice marble cake!
Amy, if you just want the pattern of the marbling effect then no need. But if you want to eat the cake with some part that has chocolate cake taste then add the melted chocolate into some white batter.
Hi Bits of Life 'n' Taste. You have a nice blog there too.
