The children requested for bread for their breakfast tomorrow. Since I did not buy bread from the shop outside I obliged them by making them their favourite sausage and cheese bread. I have also made some custard buns for my office colleagues. My aunty gave me some hae bee hiam so I have made some buns with hae bee hiam fillings also. Initially when I made the long and the round sausage bread, I had wanted to coat it with some pork floss. But since the cheddar cheese on top is good enough for the kids, I did not add the pork floss in the end.
wow!!! look so nice!!
ReplyDeleteAll the buns look very yummy! It makes me very hungry now!
ReplyDeletewow, delicious..I'm hungry lo..
ReplyDeletebaking mum, could you please share how did you do your custard? It looks really good! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGrace, very simple. Just need to get from Phoon Huat the instant custard powder. Just add milk to the powder and whip until it forms into a custard. You can use it immediately. No need to add sugar or anything else.
ReplyDeleteThe buns filled with custard looks really tempting!
ReplyDeleteLeeLee, you are such a great and hardworking mom. I do love homemade sweet buns.

Hi Baking Mum,
ReplyDeleteIs the instant custard powder from Phoon Huat the same as Bird's Eye brand custard powder? Because I dont stay in Singapore and they only have Bird's eye brand custard powder here. Please advise. Thanks.
