But some of the chocolate chips will sink to the bottom but most of them will still stay on top. Just gently place the almond slices on top and press gently to let it stick to the batter so that after baking, it won't drop off so easily.Hugbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10399145863585104295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26314417.post-76581240310009986512009-08-26T09:41:14.769+08:002009-08-26T09:41:14.769+08:00hi Hugbear

I baked some with chocolate chips and almond slices too but mine sink in the middle and the cake seems abit dry. I followed the recipe exactly and make sure i beat the mixture to the right consistency... anywhere, will try it again someday :)

Tibits1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26314417.post-42910592393882686882009-08-24T11:40:16.807+08:002009-08-24T11:40:16.807+08:00Tibits1, if by adding just 1 tsp of pandan paste i...Tibits1, if by adding just 1 tsp of pandan paste it should not make the spongecake hard. I don't know why but most of the time my spongecake doesn't crack during baking. Maybe it is due to the temp of the oven. Certain part of the oven is hotter.

I also don't grease my moulds. Just line the bottom of the mould with baking paper.
